Winter Class Schedule 2011

Intro to Basic Beading, Tuesday Jan. 24th 7:00-9:00

Students will learn about the necessary materials that are needed when making jewelry.  In addition they will learn the basics of stringing and crimping.  Each student will do home with a finished necklace or bracelet.  The cost is $10 plus the cost of materials.

French knotting Thurs. Jan. 26th 7:00-9:00

French knotting is a technique that has been used to string pearls in the past.  Jewelry stores charge "an arm and a leg" for this.  Currently the trend with french knotting is to use different kind of beads to create a really unique look. The cost is $15 plus the cost of materials

The Sweet Heart Necklace and Earrings7:00-9:00

 this is the most adorable necklace for Valentines Day. Students will learn the art of  wire wrapping to form connecting hearts.  We will then take that design and and combine it with beads and chain to create a

unique necklace. In addition we will make coordinating earrings. The cost is $15 plus the cost of materials

Copy Cat Bracelet Thurs. February 9th 7:00-9:00

This is a really cool bracelet.  Students will learn the art of wire wrapping a spiral and incorporating beads into it.  the end result is a very interesting, expensive looking bracelet.  The cost is $15 plus the cost of materials.

Chic Pendants Thursday Feb. 16th7:00-9:00

Join the new craze in jewelry making.  In this class we will learn how two different techniques to apply to metal pendants. One is stamping on metal and the other is called Patera which involves creating a paper collage one pendant almost giving a vintage feel.  Both of these techniques are very fresh and new.  The cost id $15 plus the cost of materials. Bling Rings Thurs. Feb. 23rd, 7:00-9:00

Big Fun rings are all the rage so why buy one when you can make one yourself.  This is such a fun class.  you will be surprised at how easy this is.  the cost is $15 plus the cost of materials.

Wire Wrap a Donut Pendant Tues. Feb. 28th, 7:00-9:00

This is a popular class.  Students will learn how wrap wire around a semi precious donut to create a unique looking pendant.  The possibilities are endless. The cost is $15 plus the cost of materials.

All Wired Up, Thurs. March 1st, 7:00-9:00

Nothing like a new pair of "Sassy" Earrings to make a girl feel good.  In this class we will make two using two different techniques.  One technique is called the "birds nest" an the other is called coiled earrrings.  In both cases we will be learning different wire wrapping techniques to create very different, pretty earrings

Hammered Bracelet, Thurs. March 8th, 7:00-9:00

Students will learn the art of hammering metal wire and forming it into a unique design.  In addition we will take that design and combine it with beads to create a "one of a kind" bracelet.  the cost is $15 plus the cost of materials.

Crystal Clay Pendants Tues. March 13th, 7:00-9:00

This is a very new technique that has recently hit the market, and the staff at Bumble Beads is crazy about it.  It entails combining two disserent types of clay, molding,  and smoothing it, then incorporating swarovski crystal.  the result is gorgeous!!! The cost is $15 plus the cost of materials.

 

PLEASE NOTE:  ALL CLASSES MUST BE RESERVED AHEAD OF TIME
A 50% deposit is required at the time of reservation. All deposits are non-refundable unless 48 hours is given. If a minimum of six people have not signed up for the class, class may be canceled and all deposits will be refunded or can be used towards another class.
